Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA)

The Minnesota D.A.R.E. Training Center is responsible for ensuring that training related to the D.A.R.E. curriculum occurs in a manner that reflects the standards of D.A.R.E. America and is in keeping with accepted educational and training practices. The Center receives state legislative funding to coordinate and schedule this training. Training schedules are shared with D.A.R.E. America, Minnesota D.A.R.E., Inc., and the Minnesota D.A.R.E. Officers Association. The Center also provides consultation on in-service or conference training related to D.A.R.E.

The Minnesota State D.A.R.E. Training Coordinator is a member of the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension’s staff and serves as the liaison with national, regional, and state D.A.R.E. entities.

The Training Coordinator also maintains a training team to educated new officers and provide continuing education to exciting D.A.R.E. Officers.
